About Independence day
15 August is also known as Independence day in India. It is one of the most important days in Indian history. It was the day on which India got its independence from the British empire. Independence day was a gift given to us all Indians by Indian freedom fighters, some of them were Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Pandit Motilal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and many more.
India celebrates Independence Day on August 15 every year. India became independent on August 15, 1947, It is a gazetted holiday notified by the government in order to remember the day of its independence.
There are people who don’t know the difference between Independence Day(15 August) and Republic Day(26 January). Independence day is the day on which India became independent and republic day is the day on which the Constitution of India came into force. The Constitution of India came into force exactly after 2 years 11 months and 18 days of India becoming Independent.
How people celebrate Independence day?
Independence Day is a day when Indians pay homage to their leaders and those who fought for India’s freedom when India was under British rule. On this day most of the TV channels show patriotic Movies or movies related to Indian Independence. On Independence Day India’s Leader give speeches about India. Most of the people spend there day with Friends, family and loved once. There are people who fly kites and listen and sing patriotic songs. Because it is a holiday most of the offices including state and local government offices, post offices and banks are closed on this day. If there is something unaffected by the holiday that is Public transport because most of the people like to visit there friends on this day and for that, they will be needing local transport but there may be heavy traffic and increased security in areas where there are celebrations. Every school in India celebrates 15 august with the flag raising and national anthem and some people do it at home as well.

roshni hogi chirago ko jlaye rakhna,
lahu dekr bhi jiski hifajat ki sahido ne,
us tirange ko sada dil me bsaye rakhna.
mn ko khud hi magan krlo,
kabhi kabhi sahido ko bhi naman krlo jo desh ke lie saheed hue unko mera salam hain,
apne khun se jis jameen ko sicha un bahaduro ko salam hain…

खुशबु बनकर गुलो से उदा करते हैं,
धुआं बनकर पर्वतो से उड़ा करते हैं,
ये कैंचिया खाक हमें उड़ने से रोका करेंगी,
हम परो से नहीं हौसलों से उड़ा करते हैं।
की मिटटी खाई थी मैंने बचपन में कभी
इस लिए मेरे खून में देश भक्ति का जज्बा है
ये वक्त बहुत ही नाजुक है, हमपर हमले दर हलमे हैं
दुश्मन का दर्द यही तो है, हम हर हमले पर संभले हैं

कहने को तो हम उस देश के वासी हैं, जिस देश में गंगा बहती है।

रौशनी होगी चिरागो को जलाये रखना
लहू देकर भी जिसकी हिफाजत की सहीदो ने
उस तिरंगे को सदा दिल में बसाये रखना।
मन को खुद ही मगन करलो
कभी कभी सहीदो को भी नमन करलो…
